What Is The Daily Fold?
The Daily Fold is a personalized morning newspaper app that generates a finite, curated edition from RSS feeds. Users choose their sections and sources, set a reading time budget (5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes), and receive a daily edition sized to fit their morning. When they've read everything, the app tells them they're done.
The app also includes local weather, a daily headline crossword puzzle, offline support, four newspaper-inspired themes (including dark mode), and an iPad-optimized broadsheet layout.
There are no algorithms, no ads, no tracking, and no user accounts. All data stays on the device.

The Story
The Daily Fold was built by Brandon Pollet as a passion project to recreate the experience of reading a physical newspaper. While he has spent the last 15 years building games for the App Store he wanted to take a chance on building an app that might help keep people informed and make their mornings a little bit better.
The app's design draws from classic newspapers with serif headlines, warm paper tones, section-based organization, and the concept of a "morning edition" that's complete and finite. The daily crossword puzzle ties directly into the news, extracting words from that day's curated headlines to create a unique deduction challenge.
